I have not visited for awhile and I'm glad that I did. The "go to/ to go" blog will be a nice foundation for my upcoming "all company" meeting that I use to set the tone for the upcoming year.

Best wishes for a productive and healthy New Year.

Love,
J. Scott, Cher, Lucas, Jack, and Biz

As I read through your blog I can't help but feel the joy that you get out of your job. It's clear that you appreciate the roles and responsibilities of your past and current career. I also feel extremely blessed with the fact that I have a job that I truly enjoy. I remember a talk I had with my dad after he retired. I was a new college graduate and I was picking his brain about the jobs he had in his lifetime. He told me that the job he had for over 25 years he absolutely hated. I felt appreciative of the sacrifice that he made to provide for his family, but I was sad to think that his life could have been so much better if he would have had career counseling. The good news is he started a second career that he was very good at and that provided the enrichment he had been missing. He also provided a valuable lessons to his son about sacrifice and the courage to accept change.

"The harder you fight to hold on to specific assumptions, the more likely there's gold in letting go of them."

The Maine accent is one of my favorites! Whenever I hear your voice Jackie it reminds me of living in Cumberland as a kid and visiting my grandparents there every year. What a beautiful and magical place....as magical as the incredible Appalachian mountains we live in now. The blog looks great! I can't wait to read more of your stories. I hope you are enjoying the cool mountain weather....have a great weekend.
